Pima County Public Library Partners with BiblioCommons for Integrated Catalog Discovery Layer and Website Management Platform

The Pima County Public Library, with 27 branches in Tucson, Arizona and the surrounding communities, has partnered with BiblioCommons for a new integrated catalog discovery layer and website management platform. This new website and catalog will transform the Pima County Public Library online presence into a staff and patron engagement platform, ensuring that the Pima County Library continues to thrive as a community hub, both online and in person.

Pima County Public Library will be joining Chicago Public Library as one of the first to go live with the new BiblioCommons CMS website management platform. BiblioCMS is a continuously iterating, flexible website management service, custom built for public libraries, and designed to stay current with ever-evolving web trends, while helping public library websites become online learning, browsing and community engagement destinations.

“Our library staff is really excited to begin working with BiblioCommons,” said Melinda Cervantes, Executive Director of Pima County Public Library. “We’re ready to take our website, and how our community connects with the Library and with each other, to a whole new level.”

Work on the new integrated catalog and library website will start in late May, and the new site will go live in late 2014 or early 2015.
