New Library Partners Subscribe to BiblioCommons in 2022

Toronto, Ontario, May 31, 2022 — Two extremely exciting partnerships were formed between public libraries and BiblioCommons in the first few months of 2022. Glenview Public Library and Harris County Public Library are now members of the BiblioCommons shared digital platform. The BiblioTeam is thrilled to work with these two incredible libraries to help them unlock the full potential of the web to welcome, inspire, and connect their communities.

Glenview Public Library is a member of Cooperative Computer Services and serves a population of 48,000 in Glenview, Illinois. The library uses the Polaris ILS and will undergo a complete refresh of its online catalog and website with the support of its new subscription to BiblioCore, BiblioWeb, and BiblioEvents. Library staff expressed particular interest in enhancing the search and discovery experience for their patrons.

"The Glenview Public Library team is thrilled to be partnering with BiblioCommons to enhance our digital library experience. We feel BiblioCore provides the best library catalog search and discovery experience on the market, and we are eager to use all of the digital engagement tools offered through BiblioWeb to connect our patrons to everything the library has to offer." - Lindsey Dorfman, Library Director

Glenview Public Library has already commenced its implementation on BiblioCore and BiblioWeb.

Harris County Public Library serves a population of over 2,000,000 in Houston, Texas. The library uses the Symphony ILS and has subscribed to the BiblioCore catalog, the BiblioWeb website builder, and the BiblioEvents calendar solution.

Harris County Public Library began its implementation this month and is most looking forward to collaborating with BiblioTeam members during onboarding to apply design thinking practices to their services and solutions. Easier staff workflows and benefiting from a digital platform that multiple libraries of all sizes share are some of the features they are eagerly anticipating.

"Simply put, BiblioCommons offers the most robust and nimble solution for libraries. BiblioCore's search capabilities combined with BiblioWeb and BiblioEvents' integrations emphasize accessibility and ease of use, and will let people get more out of the library both online and in-person. Harris County Public Library is excited to team up with BiblioCommons to provide an exceptional online experience." - Edward Melton, Executive Director
